Cloning of Murine PDGFRa cDNA and Murine Calbindin-D9k cDNA

As previously reported, a cDNA fragment corresponding to the extracellular domain of mouse PDGFRa (accession no. M57683, nucleotides 69-1650) was amplified from messenger RNA of mouse brain by reverse tran-scription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) using a primer set of 5′-GAGGTCGACTCAGGAGCTAT-GGGGACCTCC-3′ and 5′-ACTGGATCCTCAGATCGC-AGAGTGGGAGCC AC-3′, and cloned into pCRII vector (Invitrogen, San Diego, CA). flovent inhaler

Although the nucleotide sequence of the mRNA of mouse calbindin-D9k is not available, the sequences of rat, human, bovine, and porcine calbindin-D9k have already been registered in GenBank (accession nos. J02954, LI3220, Ml8344, and LI3068, respectively), and their protein coding sequences are highly conserved. To clone the cDNA of murine calbindin-D9k by RT-PCR, we used the conserved sequences to design and generate primer sets 5′-AAAAATATGCAGCCAAAGA-3′ and 5′-ATAGCTA-ACTTCTCCATC-3′. Corresponding to these conserved sequences among various species are the following accession and nucleotide numbers, respectively: J02954, 106-124 and 246-263; LI3220, 101-119 and 241-258; M18344, 59-77 and 199-216; L13068, 120-138 and 260-277.
